Video Files

A collection of personal favourites... Herein are gathered all the videos available on this site, plus some extras. More will be added in time. Links are red. Click on the images to see the sketches.

My friends from YutArt, Andrew Maj and I put some Julia Gillard sketches on youtube during the 2010 election campaign, with me playing our inestimable leader.

I also got to play Julia Gillard on Nine's ill-fated Ben Elton Live From Planet Earth.

Here are a couple of my favourite Double Take sketches...

Me acting with myself! John Howard meets Kevin Rudd (5MB QuickTime movie)...

...and Ruddy speaking 'black', introduced by me as Kerry O'Brien (host of the ABC's Four Corners) below... (11MB QuickTime movie)

Generic characters can come from anywhere. One of the great things about this work is the freedom to play you have. We're given a script and we see what happens. I thought an Irish accent suited this priest. Click here or on the image below to see the sketch. It's a QuickTime file (1MB).

Click the image above to see the first time Brayden appeared on Comedy Inc. It was an improvised sketch in series 2. It's a Quicktime movie (2MB).

Another big favourite was the Ernest the Engine Car sketch series, a parody of children's character Thomas the Tank Engine.

Below is an example of a generic game show parody that was used to make a point. Thanks 'Anfony' for putting this on YouTube.

Our Sunrise parody (above) was extremely popular. One extracurricular performance I was asked to do was truly a dream come true: I opened the 2007 Logie Awards as Kochie. The man himself (as you can see from the footage) was present and loving every minute of it.

Click on the image below. It's a 7MB Quicktime movie.

Dr Phil was a personality I pushed to parody on the show. Click on the image and see a sketch. It is a Quicktime file (3.1MB).

My messiah complex indulged...

John Howard, then Australian Prime Minister, was a popular target for Comedy Inc. I had great fun performing his addresses to the nation on everything from the water crisis to bird flu. It's a 2.1MB Quicktime movie.

Just click here or on the image below to see me as Kevin Rudd (it's a 2.2MB Quicktime movie).

YouTube... indispensible... Here is me being Kevin 07 at the Movie Extra FilmInk Awards 2008...

Laminex on the Rocks - Melbourne Uni Revue 1987

My version of a wog boy, GINO CAPRICCIOSA, a character which had hitherto not been done on stage (the WOG phenomenon was just about to happen). QuickTime Movie (10.2 MB). The PENGUIN SKETCH about bored Fairy Penguins on Phillip Island (Margie Nunn and Jason Stephens) plagued by a jealous seagull (me). QuickTime Movie (8.3 MB).

Totally Full Frontal - 1998-9

Me performing as Tom Gleisner of Working Dog. Just click on the image to see the footage. It is a 500 Kb QuickTime Movie.

'What is it about...?' Jerry Seinfeld. See the footage by clicking the image. It is a 380 Kb QuickTime Movie.

Would you like to see me performing some generic characters including Noeline on TFF? Download the footage by clicking here or on the image. It is a 2.4 MB QuickTime Movie.

SoundBite - 2000

Me as... Peter Allen (QuickTime movie 60 MB)

Me as... John Farnham (QuickTime movie 72MB)

David Letterman (QuickTime movie 72MB)

Mikhail Gorbachev (QuickTime movie 49MB)

Jerry Seinfeld (Quicktime movie 70MB)
