news from inside the bubble february 2010

Happy New Year...

Yes, I skipped a month. But that doesn't mean I've been idle. I'm quite excited because I'm taking this opportunity to show the world some images never before seen. These images are of Noeline (see the Noeline page for background on her) and Cliff Hanger (likewise, there's a Cliff page to visit) - two of my bestest characters. They are presented here in ways you (and I) have never seen them before...

These are images associated with a little something I've been working on with old dear friend Andrew Maj. See the Laminex on the Rocks page for more information on him.

So, here's Cliff Hanger, having a Vietnam War flashback. Yes, it's 'The Young Cliff'... or for those who might appreciate the allusion Cliff Young.

...And here's Noels getting into all sorts of trouble down the local. I'll be providing more details on the project when it's better formed.

December 2009 marked the tenth anniversary of Dave Taranto's passing. If anyone reads this news page apart from me, please do yourself a favour and visit The Taranto Show to grab just a taste of what Dave was and why he continues to mean so much to so many.

I also want to say a fond vale to another comedy Dave, Dave Grant, who recently departed this dimension. We worked Melbourne's comedy stages together in the 80s and early 90s. I was all colour and movement. He was solid gags. He did well. His style scared the living bejesus outta me, but he knew how to get that crowd going. Old school. Seeya Dave...
